The self-monitoring method of a display includes: inputting a first image test signal including a predetermined image test signal, in which the first image test signal includes playing signals of at least two frames of test image that are played in turn by switching; acquiring a display parameter of the predetermined image test signal; dividing at least two frames of image outputted into a plurality of areas, in which the areas include a predetermined area and a remaining area; acquiring a first display parameter of the predetermined area; determining whether or not an image displayed is matched with the first image test signal to acquire a first match result; and determining whether or not display abnormality presents in the display based on the first match result. The method can determine whether or not display abnormality presents in the display.
