The device to be charged includes: a first battery unit and a second battery unit connected in series; a charging circuit electrically connected to the first battery unit and the second battery unit; a first switch and a second switch electrically connected to the charging circuit, the first battery unit, and the second battery unit; and a control module electrically connected to the charging circuit, the first switch, and the second switch to control the first switch and the second switch according to a received control instruction, to enable the charging circuit to charge the first battery unit and the second battery unit, or enable the charging circuit to charge the second battery unit, wherein a charge rate of the first battery unit is lower than a charge rate of the second battery unit.
