The hearing device comprises a behind-the-ear housing module, the behind-the-ear housing module comprising a signal processor for processing received audio signals into a signal modified to compensate for a user's hearing impairment, a connecting module configured for providing the modified signal to an ear of the user, a coupling module interconnecting the behind-the-ear housing module and the connecting module. The magnetic induction control unit is provided in the behind-the-ear housing module, and the magnetic induction coil is provided in the coupling module.
