Abstract:
Aspects of the subject disclosure may include, for example, a method in which a processing system receives data regarding an operating environment of a user equipment device located in a cell of a cellular communication network. The method also includes analyzing the data to determine a power adjustment for a control signal transmitted to the UE device using a set of physical resource blocks (PRBs); allocating, in accordance with the analyzing, a subset of the PRBs for transmission of an adjusted control signal with an adjusted power greater than an initial default power; and transmitting the adjusted control signal to the UE device using the subset of the PRBs with the adjusted power. Other embodiments are disclosed.
