The method of determining the monitoring result, performed by a terminal, includes: determining, in a case that processes of one or more reference states are running, whether a process of a target reference state satisfies a preset condition according to a monitoring configuration parameter of a reference state; determining a monitoring result corresponding to the target reference state in a case that a process of the target reference state satisfies the preset condition; wherein the reference state includes: Radio Link Monitor RLM and/or Beam Failure Detection BFD.
