Abstract:
A ratchet dial mechanism used on ballistic protective personal equipment and ballistic protective personal helmets, which enables the chin straps to be adjusted by tightening and loosening so that the helmet fits snugly on the user's head with precision and decreases the manufacturing cost and time due to fewer parts needed for assembly.
