The motor is configured to drive rotation of the one or more fan blades. The ceiling fan further includes a light kit. The light kit includes a panel. The panel has an edge extending between a top surface of the panel and a bottom surface of the panel. The light kit further includes at least one light source positioned to illuminate the edge.
