The battery sampling chip includes a selector module, including a first multiplexer and a second multiplexer, wherein the first multiplexer and the second multiplexer are both used to collect status data of a first group of cells; an analog-to-digital conversion module, connected with the first multiplexer and the second multiplexer; and a data control module, used to send alarm information when converted status data sent by the analog-to-digital conversion module are not received within a preset duration. Through redundancy design of the multiplexers, whether the selector module fails or is abnormal can be effectively judged, thus avoiding the battery management system including the battery sampling chip from monitoring incorrect status data.
