The display panel includes a base layer, a display element layer disposed on the base layer in the second area, an encapsulation layer disposed on the display element layer and that includes an opening portion that corresponds to the first area and an inclined portion that has a height that decreases with decreasing distance from the opening portion, and an inclination compensation layer that is disposed on the inclined portion and does not overlap the opening portion.
