The vehicle axle may include at least one pressure supply device, driven by an electric-motor drive, to control pressure in the wheel brakes; at least one control and regulating device; a valve assembly having values for setting wheel-specific brake pressures and/or for disconnecting/connecting the wheel brakes from/to the pressure supply device, and at least one electric drive motor for driving and braking a vehicle wheel or the axle. At least one pressure supply device is used to control the pressure of and/or provide pressure to at least one additional brake unit in the form of an electric parking brake, a hydraulically supported electromechanical brake, an electromechanical brake and/or a force-supporting steering device, a gear actuator and/or transmission actuator, and/or a torque vectoring module.
