Various aspects of the present disclosure generally relate to wireless communication. In some aspects, a transmit (Tx) user equipment (UE) may receive, from a base station, downlink control information (DCI) that triggers sidelink channel state information (CSI) reporting from a receive (Rx) UE to the Tx UE. The Tx UE may transmit, to the Rx UE, a request for CSI based at least in part on the DCI received from the base station. The Tx UE may receive, from the Rx UE, a CSI report based at least in part on the request. The Tx UE may transmit, to the base station, the CSI report received from the Rx UE.
