In one example method, a first terminal device obtains configuration information of a resource pool, where the configuration information is used to indicate that frequency domain resources of the resource pool include L sub-channels and each sub-channel includes q resource blocks (RBs), M of the L sub-channels are used by the first terminal device to send at least one of a physical sidelink control channel (PSCCH) or a physical sidelink shared channel (PSSCH), N of the L sub-channels are used by the first terminal device to receive a physical sidelink feedback channel (PSFCH) from a second terminal device, and there is a correspondence between one of the M sub-channels and one of N·q RBs included in the N sub-channels, and sends at least one of a first PSCCH or a first PSSCH on a first channel in a slot n.
