In one aspect, a conversation status of each of a plurality of communication channels is determined. Channels belonging to a first group status are grouped into a first set, and channels belonging to a second group status are grouped into a second set. Display data is generated to indicate the respective groupings, and audio and text is selectively displayed on user devices according to the groupings.
