A hinge assembly for a foldable electronic device comprises a row of interconnected and abutting hinge blades and at least one linear actuator. The first end of the linear drive arrangement is interconnected with the rotation shaft, and the second is connected to one hinge blade. The linear actuator further comprises a locking arrangement for locking the hinge assembly, and the locking arrangement comprising a cam element interlocking with a cam section located on the rotation shaft.
