The display apparatus includes: a display configured to rotate around the fixed axis and display an image; and a controller configured to process an original image and control the display to display the original image, wherein the original image is stored in a memory or received through wired or wireless communication. The controller is configured to: obtain an output image by processing a central area including an object in the original image to be suitable for a rotation state of the display and a resolution of the display; and control the display to display the obtained output image.
