Abstract:
Disclosed herein is a battery cell with improved durability and safety for the swelling phenomenon. The battery cell can include an electrode assembly having an electrode tab, an electrode lead electrically connected to the electrode tab, a pouch case configured to accommodate the electrode assembly therein and having at least one perforation hole formed in a portion thereof, and a lead film configured to have a portion interposed between the electrode lead and an inner surface of the pouch case and having at least one insert protrusion formed on an outer surface thereof to be inserted into the perforation hole.
