A disclosed apparatus may include (1) a voltage regulator module configured to convert electric power into at least one regulated voltage, (2) a controller configured to control passage of the electric power to the voltage regulator module, and (3) a computing device configured to (A) be powered by the regulated voltage and (B) provide a disable signal that causes the controller to suspend passage of the electric power to the voltage regulator module.
