The processor is configured to receive, from a server related to a video call, performance information of external electronic devices participating in the video call, determine whether to perform encoding using the first codec based on the performance information, and control the communication circuitry to transmit, to the server, a first image stream encoded using the first codec and a second image stream encoded using the second codec based on the determination.
