The communication apparatus receives live image data from an image capture apparatus in which information regarding a predetermined parameter related to a capturing of the live image is added. When the reception of the live image data is restricted, the communication apparatus restricts an instruction to change the value of the predetermined parameter. This enables to prevent the occurrence of a difference between an actual state of the image capture apparatus and a state assumed by a user of the communication apparatus, in a state where a moving image captured by the image capture apparatus is not displayed on the communication apparatus.
