The present invention relates to flame-retardant compositions, and more particularly to flame-retardant compositions comprising non-halogen flame-retardants. The compositions of this invention comprise a thermoplastic polyurethane component, a polycarbonate polymer component, and an inorganic aluminum phosphinate flame-retardant component. Such compositions are useful for applications where high flame performance, high modulus, high impact resistance, and high heat deflection temperatures are desired. The compositions are useful for making molded articles. This invention also relates to processes to produce the described non-halogen flame-retardant compositions and processes to produce molded articles from such compositions.
