Various aspects of the present disclosure generally relate to wireless communication. In some aspects, a user equipment (UE) may receive an indication to switch from a first transmission configuration indicator (TCI) state associated with a first cell to a second TCI state associated with a second cell. The UE may apply the second TCI state, including switching from a first bandwidth part (BWP) associated with the first cell to a second BWP associated with the second cell. For example, the UE may receive an indication to switch from the first BWP to the second BWP. Additionally, or alternatively, the UE may determine to switch from the first BWP to the second BWP based at least in part on the indication to switch from the first TCI state to the second TCI state.
