The image forming apparatus includes a display control unit configured to control a display on an operation unit, a reception unit configured to receive an end notification for end processing of the image forming apparatus, and a processing unit configured to perform, in response to receipt of the end notification by the reception unit, the end processing of the image forming apparatus, wherein, in response to receipt of the end notification by the reception unit when the image forming apparatus is in the second power state in which the operation unit is turned off, the display control unit turns on the operation unit.
