The first part is adapted to be connected to the cable and to the second part, wherein the first part and the second part are arranged to interact for absorbing/taking up forces exerted on the cable connected to the first part. The cable strain reliever and cable rotation restrainer is adapted to be used with a portable electronic device. The cable strain reliever and cable rotation restrainer prevents the cable from being damaged and rotated inside the second part when being assembled therein.
