The decoder comprises a slicer that generates constellation points in a signal constellation of the received symbol sequence based on in-phase and quadrature components of a demodulated symbol sequence. The demodulated symbol sequence is based on the received symbol sequence. The decoder derotates the signal constellation based on the received symbol sequence and a conjugate of a channel response of the system.
