In the device, the case may include a square-frame-shaped rear wall abutting a rim portion of a rear surface located on a side opposite to a display surface of the liquid crystal panel, and a square-frame-shaped front wall abutting a rim portion of the display surface of the liquid crystal panel, and sandwiching the liquid crystal panel with the rear wall, a pair of positioning pieces may be provided to either the rear wall or the front wall for positioning of the liquid crystal panel with respect to the case by respectively coming in contact with side portions of the liquid crystal panel that are opposing each other, and the positioning pieces may each be formed to be elastically deformable along a plane direction of the liquid crystal panel.
