In a first mode of operation, a first constant E-field (26) that is directed across the slot is obtained. In a second mode of operation, a second E-field (28) which is directed across the slot, having a sinusoidal variation is obtained. In a third mode of operation, a third E-field (30) which is directed across the slot, having a sinusoidal variation, is obtained.
