A recording status display table stores a general recording information display part for recording such as a program recording date and a recording start time and a recording result display part for displaying a recording result. A control unit controls the recording status display table to be displayed on a display apparatus. The recording result is recorded and stored in the recording result display part of the corresponding program of the memory, and displayed if requested. As a result, the user may easily confirm the recording status without checking the recorded contents.
