In a color image forming apparatus which has an adjustment unit that adjusts image forming parameters for setting image forming conditions, and which forms an image on a printing medium using the adjusted image forming parameters, the use log of the color image forming apparatus is collected, and at least one image forming parameter is selected in correspondence with the collected use log as an image forming parameter to be adjusted by the adjustment unit in next adjustment, by referring to a storage unit which stores, in correspondence with the use log, at least one image forming parameter to be adjusted by the adjustment unit.
