The disclosure describes various systems and methods for access control. One such method includes providing an access control module that is capable of operating at least a first carrier frequency and a second carrier frequency. In addition, the method includes providing a first access credential that operates at the first carrier frequency, and providing a second access credential that operates at the second carrier frequency.
