The toner includes colored particles containing at least a binder resin and a colorant, and two or more external additives. At least one of the external additives includes hydrophobic treated mesoporous particles, and the mesoporous particles are inorganic particles of at least one type selected from the group consisting of silica, titanium oxide, alumina, cerium oxide, and strontium titanate.
