Abstract:
A socket connector comprises an insulative housing defining a plurality of passageways and a receiving cavity for receiving an electrical package, and a plurality of contact respectively disposed in said passageways. The receiving cavity comprises a first cavity, and a second cavity smaller than the first cavity. The second cavity is in communication with the first cavity and outer space, the second cavity defining standoffs for positioning the electrical package when the electrical package is inserted into the receiving cavity.
