According to an embodiment, the liquid crystal display at least one signal line disposed in a display area and extending to a non-display area located outside the display area, a common line crossing the signal line in the non-display area, at least one static electricity preventing element connected between the common line and the signal line in the non-display area, and at least one static electricity preventing auxiliary electrode projected towards the signal line from the static electricity preventing element in the non-display area.
