The upper cover sheet, together with an underlying wadding material, defines a laminate which, at least in the rear portion, is designed with at least one through-slit which defines an opening for passage of bodily excretions through the slit, and the slit is surrounded by binding areas which, together with a resilient action of the wadding material, define a raised area on the surface of the article.
