A high-frequency-enhanced sub-frame generator performs filtering processing on the plurality of sub-frames generated by the frame controller to generate high-frequency-enhanced sub-frames. A high-frequency-suppressed sub-frame generator performs filtering processing on the plurality of sub-frames generated by the frame controller to generate high-frequency-suppressed sub-frames. An output controller alternately outputs the high-frequency-enhanced sub-frames and the high-frequency-suppressed sub-frames. A display unit performs frame-hold-type display processing and alternately displays the high-frequency-enhanced sub-frames and the high-frequency-suppressed sub-frames output from the output controller.
