The auxiliary processor may modify one or more definition parameters of the programmable processing unit based on determining that the load value of the programmable processing unit is lower than a threshold value. The modifying of the definition parameters may comprise reducing an operating frequency of the programmable processing unit, reducing a number of a micro-programmable units resident on the programmable processing unit, or both.
