The mover of said linear motor comprising at least one section of soft magnetic material and at least one permanent magnet, the at least one section of soft magnetic material and the at least one permanent magnet being aligned in an axial direction of the mover, wherein a polarization vector of said at least one permanent magnet is directed axially.
