A method performs communication resource control in at least one cell of a cellular communication network. The cell includes a base station communicating using at least one frequency and the cell is operated according to a time-based frequency reuse technique. A communication between a terminal and the base station is based on a time frame structure including a plurality of time slots. The method includes the step of obtaining, at the base station of the cell, loading conditions of at least one cell among the subject cell and its neighboring cells. The method also includes the step of adapting, at the base station of the cell, at least one parameter of communication resource control of the base station on the basis of the loading conditions obtained.
