An image projection device acquires image data via the communication network and projects an image based on the image data. The image projection device includes: a receiving unit which receives an E-mail transmitted from another device which is connected to the communication network and containing information on the image data; a content analyzing unit which analyzes a content of the E-mail received by the receiving unit; and an image data acquiring unit which acquires the image data via the communication network based on an analysis result obtained by the content analyzing unit.
