The applicator may include: a stem; and an applicator element at one end thereof. The applicator element may project laterally from the stem, and may include at least two branches of plastics material, with at least one of the branches being flocked at least in part. The branches may meet at ends thereof and define between the ends a cavity that is open to the outside via a face of the applicator element that is configured to apply the composition. The cavity may be elongate in shape and may extend along the branches. The branches may be sufficiently rigid to prevent the cavity from deforming substantially between a moment when the applicator element leaves the composition and a moment when the composition is applied.
