Further, the apparatus and method includes formatting the management information according to an export template. The apparatus and method also includes transmitting the management information utilizing a protocol. A apparatus and network device are also shown that include receiving a management information snapshot as part of a periodic subscription. This apparatus and method includes processing the management information snapshot based upon an export template, the export template defined as part of an IPFIX protocol.
