The light emitting device includes a first conductive semiconductor layer, a light emitting layer, a protective layer, a nano-layer and a second conductive semiconductor layer. The light emitting layer is formed on the first conductive semiconductor layer. The protective layer is formed on the light emitting layer. The nano-layer is formed on the protective layer. The second conductive semiconductor layer is formed on the nano-layer.
