A shot of an image displayed on a display under evaluation is taken, and first and second areas are defined in a resultant captured image. The calculation unit performs a calculation such that a pixel value of a pixel in the first area is compared with a pixel value of a pixel in the second area, and the size of an image of a pixel of the display on the captured image, and the angle of the first area with respect to the image of the pixel of the display on the captured image are determined from the comparison result. The conversion unit converts data of the captured image of the display into data of each pixel of the display, based on the size of the image of the pixel and the angle of the first area.
