The control unit includes a first detecting unit for detecting the directory structure of the first data group recorded on the first recording medium, a second detecting unit for detecting the directory structure of the second data group stored on the storage unit, and a setting unit for setting the directory structure in accordance with which the first data group read by the reading unit from the first recording medium and the second data group stored on the storage unit are recorded on the second recording medium directory.
