Therefore, transmission errors of subsequent messages of a terminal are avoided when the MIP registration of the terminal fails. The method includes: receiving a request for an IP address from a terminal and a MIP registration result of the terminal; and returning a response indicative of IP address allocation failure if the registration result is registration failure.
