The CPU determines a direction of the camera at a time of image capturing, on the basis of a gravitational direction which is detected by the tri-axial acceleration sensor, calculates a parameter for projection-correcting a captured image in a predetermined direction on the basis of the direction of the camera, and corrects a distortion of the captured image by using the parameter.
