Communication performance is to be improved in a communication system in which a plurality of wireless communication lines share space. The base station 6 updates a weight wk to be used for an FIR filter, generates a hopping pattern Pk to be used by the transmitting device 2 for generating a transmission signal, adjusts the hopping pattern Pk so as to suppress a peak-to-average ratio (PAR) occurring in the transmission signal to generate a hopping pattern P′k, quantizes the hopping pattern P′k, and transmits the quantized hopping pattern P′k to the transmitting device 2. The transmitting device 2 uses the hopping pattern P′k received from the base station 6 in subsequent spread spectrum to generate a transmission signal.
