The device is configured to use a first wireless communication scheme and a second wireless communication scheme which use overlapping bands. The measuring section measures a first transmission and reception time spent on actual data transmission and reception during a first communication-enabled period in which data communication based on the first wireless communication scheme is permitted, and measures a second transmission and reception time spent on actual data transmission and reception during a second communication-enabled period in which data communication based on the second wireless communication scheme is permitted. The communication period determining section determines lengths of the first and second communication-enabled periods in accordance with the first and second transmission and reception times measured by the measuring section.
