The stereoscopic image display device includes a display unit including a plurality of pixels arranged in a matrix, the respective pixels including right/left-eye pixels arranged in a row direction, an area detector for detecting first data respectively corresponding to at least a part of the pixels from a plurality of input data, a data converter for converting the first data to the right/left-eye data corresponding to the right/left-eye pixels, a data combiner for combining stereoscopic image data by arranging the right/left-eye data, and a data driver for applying a data signal corresponding to the stereoscopic image data to the display unit.
