The developer container includes a first housing having an agitating member; and a second housing covering the first housing and being rotatable around the agitating member relative to the first housing. The first housing includes a first cylinder portion that has a first opening; and a first end portion that extends substantially perpendicular to the shaft. The second housing includes a first cover member that covers a part of the first housing; and a second cover member that is separated from the first cover member and covers a remaining part of the first housing. The first cover member includes a first cover cylinder portion that has a second opening corresponding to the first opening; and a first cover end portion provided at each end. The second cover member includes a second cover cylinder portion; and a second cover end portion provided at each end.
