The evaluation value acquisition unit includes an overlap area detection unit configured to detect image areas overlapping with each other between the image data of the at least one previous frame and the image data of the present frame. The evaluation values to be acquired from the image data of the at least one previous frame are selectively acquired in response to a detection result from the overlap area detection unit.
